Message from the Organizing Team

On behalf of the organizing team, we are pleased to announce that the Third International Conference on Birth Defects (ICBD-2016) & Third National conference of the Society of Indian Academy of Medical Genetics (SIAMG) will be held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India from 7th December (Wednesday)  to 10th  December (Saturday) 2016. 

In the present era, the field of Medical Genetics has become overarching covering all medical and even surgical disciplines. State of art platform technologies are quickly shifting from the bench to bed side and the clinicians are constantly exposed but necessarily  educated regarding the utility and interpretation of these  newer techniques. The primary goal of the conference will be to educate and enhance skills of the clinicians not only in Clinical Genetics but also in the state of art newer technologies. The focus will be on the Metabolic & Molecular basis of structural & functional aspects of Birth Defects highlighting advances in diagnosis and management.

The international and National speakers invited for the conference are  leaders in their respective fields and this will be a great opportunity to learn from their experiences.

The main conference is on 8th & 9th of December 2016 which will include plenary sessions on interesting topics and several interactive sessions with the participants Conference will be followed by three targeted concurrent workshops (Clinical Dysmorphology; Clinical Cancer Genetics & Reproducitve Genomics) useful for many specialist clinicians particularly Clinical Geneticists, Pediatricians, Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Fetal Medicine experts and Clinical Oncologists on 10th December 2016. The conference will also be useful for medical students, post graduates, clinical scientists and health professionals with special interest in genetics & genomics.
